The Group cares not only about the quality of its food, in which it takes great pride, but also about the impact of it's activities on the local environment and residents. As a staunch supporter of environmental protection, in 1996 the Group invested over HK$18 million to build a wastewater treatment plant on a barge for the Jumbo Kingdom, the largest of its kind in Southeast Asia. Due to its unique situation, safety concerns are also a top priority. Fireproof and heat-resistant materials were carefully selected in building this grand floating palace.
